Sophie Turner returns to social media after split from Joe Jonas
Sophie Turner has returned to social media for the first time since she announced her split from Joe Jonas.
The Game of Thrones star recently posted an Instagram video on the environment, which is something she strongly advocates for.
"Hi everyone! I have been asked to spread the word about positive power," she began. "And on doing the research and noticing the very clear effects of global warming, it's something that I really wanted to raise awareness for."
"We need to switch over, move over, to renewable energy and let nature provide us with power—and not just power, positive power," she said, noting that it's "not impossible."
"We need to let our leaders know this, that this is the future that we want for ourselves and for those we love, our children and our grandchildren," she said, encouraging her fans to join her in asking decision-makers in the government and concerned industries to support the plan.
"The more of us that ask, the more they're likely to listen," Turner concluded.
The video comes more than two months after Turner's last Instagram post, where she confirmed her divorce from Jonas and called it a "united decision."
In early October, the former couple shared they had come to a temporary agreement for custody of their two children through early 2024.
"After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the U.S. and the UK. We look forward to being great co-parents," it read.
As stated in court documents obtained by PEOPLE Magazine, the actress will take care of their kids from Oct. 9 through Oct. 21 and then return them to Jonas.
The co-parents will follow a rotating schedule, with their children being with Turner through Nov. 22, then Jonas through Dec. 16, and back to Turner until Jan. 7.
Before Dec. 23, the ex-couple "shall jointly submit a status report letter" outlining the mediation status between them.
The two got engaged in 2017 after being together for a year. They had two wedding ceremonies in 2019—one in Las Vegas in May and another one in France in June.
