Is there a chance for an Eraserheads reunion? 'Pag tumakbo si Leni,' says Ely Buendia
Ely Buendia drew mixed reactions early this month from Eraserheads fans when he revealed that he and his bandmates were “never close.” There’s still a chance, however, for the iconic OPM band to reunite.
When asked about the possibility of a long-awaited reunion, the former vocalist wrote on Twitter, “Pag tumakbo si Leni.”

As of this writing, there are six possible candidates for president, namely Senator Bong Go, Senator Panfilo Lacson, Mayor Isko Moreno, Senator Manny Pacquiao, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, and Bongbong Marcos Jr. The deadline for the filing of certificates of candidacy for the May 2022 polls is slated on Oct. 8.
It didn’t take long for Eraserheads fans to call the attention of Vice President Leni Robredo on the social media platform. In a tweet, an Internet user tagged Robredo, stressing that she’s their only hope for E-heads to reunite.
Another one called it an “added motivation” for Robredo to run for the upcoming elections.
A netizen was even quick to come up with a tagline: “Ely para kay Leni!’
A Twitter user took the opportunity to request a free campaign jingle from the band.
If it works out, a netizen said it would indeed be a “win-win situation.”
Buendia, however, posted a tweet after his original statement went the rounds on social media that his political views are his own and he does not share them with his ex-bandmates.
DISCLAIMER: MY POLITICAL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN AND I DO NOT REPRESENT THE VIEWS OF THE ERASERHEADS’ MEMBERS.
