Bella Poarch celebrates anniversary of her viral ‘M to the B’ video, the most liked video on TikTok
The catchy and addicting-to-watch video is still the reigning champ on TikTok for having the most likes—almost 52 million as of this writing.
The shy, soft-spoken TikTok star Bella Poarch catapulted to fame by her hypnotizing head-bobbing video, which she uploaded on Aug. 17, 2020.
In the video, she is lip synching to M to the B by Millie B, complete with her animated facial expressions, and a Band-Aid on her chin. She used the app’s Face Zoom lens that gave the movement of her face a bouncy effect.
One year after the video was released, it’s still racking up likes, now at almost 52 million, and has been viewed for over 630 million times.
To celebrate the milestone of the life-changing feat, Bella indulged her fans with a TikTok duet of the original viral video. She nailed it, of course, sans the Face Zoom effect.

In the caption, she penned a message for her fans who are instrumental in achieving her success.
“1 year ago today! Bee yourself, and don’t care what other people think, and try new things. Thank you guys for changing my life,” Bella wrote.
Fans expressed their amusement that it has already been a year since the iconic video was uploaded. Even TikTok’s official account congratulated her and commented, “YES Bella! (Omg, it’s already been a year!?)”
In a recent H3 Podcast interview, Bella revealed that it took her two hours to perfect, with about a hundred drafts before settling on the now-iconic clip. She said upon the first day of posting, she got one million likes but believed it will slow down eventually, but it did not as the video is still gaining likes and views to this day.

Bella Poarch is currently the fourth most followed person on TikTok with 78 million followers, trailing behind Charli D’Amelio with over 122 million, Khaby Lame with 102 million, and Addison Rae with 82.5 million.
Bella’s TikTok account has almost two billion likes as of this writing.
Following her success in doing lip-synching videos, she slowly incorporates her love for music in her posts, where she sings, plays the ukulele and more. After all, music is her first love, according to her H3 interview.
Beyond her TikTok career, 24-year-old Bella released a single Build a Bitch in April 2021, which both song and video were well-received by fans.
She also recently released a song with Sub Urban titled Inferno, with a music video that featured cameos of social media personalities like Bretman Rock and Ivana Alawi.
Before gaining popularity on social media, Bella served in the US Navy for four years. She was born in the Philippines and moved to the US when she was 14 years old.
