Lee Jong Suk to star as a lawyer in new K-drama, 'Seochodong'
Heads up, K-drama fans! Prepare to add a new series to your watch list as South Korean actor Lee Jong Suk is set to star in tvN's Seochodong.
According to the Korean entertainment website Soompi, Seochodong, written by practicing lawyer Lee Seung Hyun, follows the story of associate attorneys who go to work in the Seocho Judicial Town.
Lee Jong Suk will portray lawyer Ahn Joo Hyung, a practitioner with nine years of experience renowned for his fact-based reasoning. The seasoned attorney pursued a legal career due to his affinity for logic and cases, however, he did not originally see the profession as one that protects the vulnerable and upholds justice to effectuate societal change.
Seochodong, which is slated to air in the first half of 2025 via tvN will be helmed by Park Seung Woo, who previously collaborated with Jong Suk in the hit 2016 MBC drama W. The latter earned him multiple awards, including Best Couple, Best Actor in a Miniseries, and his first Daesang (Grand Prize) at the MBC Drama Awards.
Further details, such as the exact premiere date and other actors joining Jong Suk, have yet to be revealed.
Jong Suk debuted in 2005 as a runway model who became the youngest male model ever to participate in Seoul Fashion Week.
He rose to fame in the K-drama industry for his portrayal in School 2013.
Jong Suk is also well known for his roles in I Can Hear Your Voice (2013), Doctor Stranger (2014), Pinocchio (2014), W (2016), V.I.P (2017), While You Were Sleeping (2017), Romance Is a Bonus Book (2019), and Big Mouth (2022).
