Ryan Reynolds is taking a break from movies to make more time for his family: ‘You don’t really get that time back’
Ryan Reynolds is ready to take on the role of full-time dad again.
When production for Apple TV+'s upcoming Chrismas flick Spirited wrapped in October, the actor said that he was going to take "a little sabbatical" from moviemaking. Though he didn't say why then, he told The Hollywood Reporter on Nov. 2 the reason for his hiatus.
"I’m just trying to create a little bit more space for my family and time with them," Reynolds said. "You know, you don't really get that back."
The Deadpool star is married to actress Blake Lively and they have three young daughters: James, Inez, and Betty.
"I’ll probably be away from film, or at least shooting films, until the end of the summer,” he continued. “It just provides me an opportunity to be home.”
While Reynold won't be acting in any movies soon, he still has projects with his companies to work on. “I’m busy, obviously, with other things at my company,” he said.
The actor has a stake in Aviation American Gin, Mint Mobile, Maximum Effort Marketing, and Wrexham AFC.
