Karaoke, family time, and relief ops: Here's how celebrities spent their Christmas
How did you spend your second pandemic Christmas? For most Pinoy stars, this time of the year is being spent at home or on vacation with their families—as seen on their Instagram pages.
As we're still reeling from the joys the holidays are bringing, let's take a look at how these celebrities celebrated their Christmases.
Winwyn Marquez
Days after announcing that she's welcoming a baby in 2022, beauty queen Winwyn Marquez flaunted her growing belly for the first time on Dec. 24.
"A lot has happened lately.. from the pandemic to natural disasters and so much more but at least for one day we get a boost of hope that we so dearly need. It might not be okay in an instant and might take a while but we must stay optimistic... Let's hold on to our faith and pray that everything will be alright," she captioned on Instagram.
Marquez also starred in Metro Manila Film Festival 2021 entry Neila.
Maris Racal and Rico Blanco
What's a Filipino Christmas without some karaoke? Maris Racal shared a video of her and boyfriend Rico Blanco singing their hearts out to Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now on Dec. 26.
"Karaoke night with this one @ricoblanco100 ❤️. Sorry mga kapitbahay," Racal wrote.
Catriona Gray
Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray might not have been able to spend her Christmas with her family this year, but her celebration is still merry.
On Dec. 25, the beauty queen posted a photo of her family, writing "All I want for Christmas... is (to be with) you. Missing my family, most especially today."
But it looks like Gray still had loving friends to keep her company. On Dec. 27, she shared snaps from a night of celebrations with her friends and beau Sam Milby.
Ivana Alawi
Aside from Christmas, actress/vlogger Ivana Alawi celebrated her 25th birthday on Dec. 25. What better way to celebrate the occasion than with a fabulous photoshoot?
Alawi served statue goddess realness as she was clad in gold, butterflies, and Swarovski crystals for her luxurious birthday shoot, which was held in Okada Manila. She also had a family portrait taken together with her mother and siblings.
Nadine Lustre
Actress Nadine Lustre, who has a home in Siargao, made her holidays meaningful by helping those in need. Earlier in the week, she was seen setting up solar charging stations with Greenpeace Philippines, and on Christmas day, she was helping assist distribute relief goods, sacks of rice, and medical supplies.
Lustre was accompanied by rumored boyfriend Christophe Bariou during the relief operations.
Hidilyn Diaz
The Olympic gold medalist spent her Christmas day giving back to Typhoon Odette victims in Argao, Cebu. Diaz, along with fiancé Julius Naranjo and non-profit organization Set Forth Philippines, distributed 1,000 relief packs to affected families.
"Our Kababayans from Visayas and Mindanao need your help," she wrote on Instagram. "They don't have water, electricity, phone signal, food, and houses."
She called on her followers to "spare hands and help them rise again as one,"
