Done deal? John Lloyd Cruz meets with GMA-7 exec Annette Gozon-Valdes
Is this an indication that John Lloyd Cruz's move to GMA-7 is already a done deal?
In an Instagram post on Monday, June 14, Annette Gozon-Valdes, who serves as GMA Films president and programming consultant to GMA-7 chairman Felipe Gozon, revealed that she met with the actor.
Gozon-Valdes did not share any details about their meeting, but she did tease fans with her caption to her photo with Cruz. "At last nagkita na kami. Exciting times ahead! Abangan!" she wrote.
GMA-7's official Instagram account also shared the photo of Gozon-Valdes and Cruz, which could mean that there's more to the meeting than just casual pleasantries. The actor appeared in a TV special for an e-shopping service that aired on GMA-7 earlier this month.
It has been reported that Cruz is working with TV host Willie Revillame to develop and produce a sitcom that will air on GMA-7.
And in an interview with the Philippine Star this month, Gozon-Valdes said Cruz is open to working with both GMA-7 and GMA Films, although she wants to take it slow in terms of offering the actor an exclusive contract.
"Siempre after so long na ABS siya and Kapamilya siya, now he’s going to appear on GMA, (again) I think he’s also taking things slow. Yung hindi naman biglaan. But we want to make him feel very welcome with us and comfortable enough to consider that in the future,” she said.
