MrBeast has dethroned T-Series as the most subscribed YouTube channel.

The American creator, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, marked the feat on June 2 as he reached 267,592,466 subscribers, as of writing. Indian music label T-Series, which has 266,733,255 subscribers as of writing, held the top spot since April 2019.

In 2019, the Indian channel battled for the number 1 rank with Swedish creator PewDiePie, a.k.a. Felix Kjellberg, who had held the position since December 2013. This back-and-forth between the two channels even sparked the latter to put out a diss track against T-Series.

"After [six] years[,] we finally avenged [PewDiePie]," MrBeast wrote on X (formerly Twitter), referring to his post from January 2023 when he set out to reach the milestone.

His post even got a response from X owner Elon Musk who wrote, "Wow, congrats!"

MrBeast is known for his elaborate challenges and lavish giveaways that he does on YouTube. According to Viewstats.com, his channel has over 50.2 billion views with his most popular video, "$456,000 Squid Game in Real Life," racking in over 615.5 million views. In 2022, the American creator was also named Forbes' highest-paid YouTuber.

Earlier in March, it was announced that MrBeast was filming a game show with Prime Video wherein he's putting up for grabs a whopping $5 million (P278.6 million).

He also celebrated his 26th birthday giving away 26 Teslas to his followers across the globe.

Outside YouTube, Jimmy has ventured into food with MrBeast Burger and Feastables as well as philanthropy as he co-founded Team Seas.
