LOOK: 2NE1 reunites for 15th anniversary in new photoshoot

2NE1 marked their 15th anniversary with a photoshoot. The iconic Korean girl group's members shared some snaps from their reunion in their respective Instagram pages on Friday, May 17 as their leader looked back on their journey in the K-pop scene.
CL gave a shoutout to their fans for all the love and support they've received so far. "It's been a while. Celebrating our 15th anniversary today May 17th," she said, adding that she's hoping to make more memories with 2NE1 and those who have been with them since day one.
"Together, I stood in front of the camera with 2NE1 for the first time in a long time," she wrote. "There are some mysteries that remain unchanged with time, the deep roots of things that change and grow together over time. What a day to feel the beauty."
CL said 2NE1 has always been her home "that made me feel the freedom to love, to play, to express, to create, to shine, to mix, to connect, and share with people." She added, "Hope today 2NE1 reminds you to feel your light."
Dara, Minzy, and Bom, meanwhile, simply posted their photos with "happy 15th anniversary" greetings in the caption.
2NE1 made their debut in 2009. The girl group is known for their hit songs like Fire, I Don’t Care, Lonely, Ugly, and Come Back Home.
YG Entertainment announced the departure of Minzy in April 2016. Their former agency confirmed that 2NE1 was parting ways later that year.
They last reunited on the Coachella stage in April 2022, where they performed their 2011 hit song I Am The Best—seven years after their disbandment.
