Over 100 candidates worldwide showcased their charm and pride in wearing their national costumes during the preliminaries today, Nov. 15 (Philippine time) in Mexico.

From simple dresses to over-the-top ensembles, this year’s delegates donned costumes that represent and pay homage to their country’s history, culture, and tradition. They were introduced by previous Miss Universe winners Sheynnis Palacios (2023) and R’Bonney Gabriel (2022) who served as the hosts.

Philippines’ Chelsea Manalo donned “Hiraya,” which spotlights the country's history of Christianization and Islam.

“Hiraya is a vision of what will become…. It is clear in your mind and speaks truthfully in your heart. It is a vision of what and how things are in the future. Believing in once was a dream and aspiration to being able to touch and live it into reality. Faith can navigate us through life,” the Bulakenya beauty queen wrote in her Instagram post.
