'Saltburn' star Jacob Elordi involved in police investigation following an alleged 'altercation'—reports
Jacob Elordi—one of the newest Hollywood "it" guys—might have gotten into some drama over the weekend as the Saltburn actor has reportedly been involved in a police investigation after an alleged assault in Sydney, Australia, on Saturday, Feb. 3.
Citing The Sunday Telegraph, Business Insider said that Elordi got into an "altercation" with KIIS FM radio producer and TikTok artist Joshua Fox, who is known for crashing Married At First Sight weddings to create content for his popular Instagram meme account outside an east Sydney hotel.
"Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs," New South Wales Police said to Business Insider, adding that the incident happened around 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 3 when a "26-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 32-year-old man."
Authorities also told the media outlet that the former did not sustain any injuries.
Additionally, Fox reportedly approached the 26-year-old Saltburn actor outside of the hotel where the actor had been hanging out, according to The Sunday Telegraph. Elordi was then said to have lost his temper at several things Fox asked him. From there, the two got into an "altercation," with Elordi leaving the scene.
Meanwhile, as per Page Six, Fox "did file a police report following the incident at Waverley Police Station" but refused to give a formal statement to comment on what had happened.
As of writing, authorities are still investigating the incident.
Elordi recently made headlines after his role in the black comedy film Saltburn, especially with its infamous scene involving the actor in a bathtub. Since its release, the 2023 psychological drama earned rave reviews from movie critics from its story and acting from its star-studded cast.
The 6'5 Australian actor is set to play the monster in Netflix's upcoming movie adaptation of Frankenstein with Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro, replacing Andrew Garfield due to "scheduling conflicts" brought on by the Hollywood strike.
Elordi is also known for his character in the Kissing Booth films and Euphoria.
