Park Bo Ram's autopsy found no signs of foul play or suicide—agency
Xanadu Entertainment, the agency of Korean singer Park Bo Ram, said that autopsy reports found that the singer had died without any signs of foul play or suicide.
"The autopsy showed no signs of homicide or suicide, and the exact results will be delivered to the bereaved family at a later date," the agency said in a statement obtained by Korean entertainment media outlet Soompi.
The agency, meanwhile, stated various information regarding the singer's funeral wake, saying that it will be held in Room 21 of the Asan Medical Center Funeral Home from 3 p.m. KST on April 16. It will be followed by a funeral procession at 6 a.m. KST on April 17 before she is buried at the Seoul Memorial Park.
"We sincerely pray for the soul of the deceased who unfortunately passed away, and we request that you refrain from circulating rumors and speculative reports so that the bereaved family can properly send off the deceased on her last journey," the statement added.
"We would appreciate it if you could pray for the late Park Bo Ram, who never let go of her passion for music and nurtured her dream so that she can rest comfortably in a warm place."
This came after the agency issued a warning against false or malicious posts about the late singer, saying that these posts circulating online and comments defamed the late singer's character.
The statement continued that Bo Ram received criticisms online "due to unproven claims" since her debut. They said that the fake news being spread about her even after her death "is a clear criminal act that is no different from killing the deceased twice." They are also keen on pursuing legal action if the acts continue in the future.
Bo Ram passed away on April 11, the agency confirmed.
The Korea Herald reported that the singer was found unconscious at her acquaintance's house.
Bo Ram started her career as a contestant for Superstar K2, where she finished in the eighth spot. Since her 2014 debut, she has released chart-toppers, including Beautiful, Celepretty, and Sorry. She also sang the OST titled Hyehwadong for the popular K-drama Reply 1988.
