Maureen Wroblewitz opens up on her self-love, healing journey: ‘All the pain was worth it’

Maureen Wroblewitz got real about overcoming her “unhealthy relationship” with herself.

The beauty queen and model took to Instagram to detail her healing journey over the past two years, which she said wasn’t easy but definitely needed.

“My journey to choosing myself,” she captioned her short reel, showing the transition of herself from her lowest to her glowing self.

“It’s been two years since I made the decision. It was definitely not easy. I went through a very difficult transition, [I] had reached my lowest but I came out of it much stronger,” Maureen continued. “All the pain was worth it!”

She went on to recall how she used to “disrespect herself” by prioritizing others over herself.

“For the longest time all [I] knew was how to put other’s needs before mine. I didn’t prioritize my own because I didn’t see them as important. I completely disrespected myself,” she wrote.

Looking back, Maureen expressed her gratitude to her support system, including her “momager” and current beau, Noah Steinbuch.

“I’m so glad that my momager and bf have taught me how to love myself, how to choose myself, how to be kind to myself, how to honor my inner child, how to practice gratitude, how to be positive and so much more,” she wrote.

“I’m so grateful to have the support system I have now! I have the most amazing people in my life! My sisters who are literally my best friends, my family and friends, my supporters,” she added. “Thank you for always being there for me.”

In the comments section, Maureen admitted she was in a “very unhealthy relationship with [herself]” and made the brave decision to make a change and start prioritizing her needs.

“I’m so much happier now and personally I can see it in my face, especially when [I] compare my current videos to my videos before my journey began,” she wrote.

Fans and friends expressed their support in the post’s comments section.

“Never an easy journey, but YOU did it you fought, you healed, and now you deserve to see yourself in your most beautiful, whole, and authentic form,” content creator Chinie Go wrote.

“Love you forever and ever,” beauty queen Ingrid Santamaria also commented.

“So inspiring!! Proud of you, Maumau,” an Instagram user also wrote.

Maureen has been open about overcoming her mental health struggles over the years, including the darkest point of her life when she was 13, and how she “lost” herself in the past years.
