Heart Evangelista opens up about the challenges of her busy schedule: 'I would lie if I say that I'm not stressed'
Heart Evangelista is off to a stellar 2024! With new endorsements and an upcoming vow renewal, she's keeping busy and sharing content with her fans. Between shoots, events, and Fashion Week, her days are non-stop. But she embraces the challenge, citing discipline as the key to keeping up.
"Well that's the key, you accept [an] endorsement because it intertwines with your life. And so it has to be natural. It won't be such an effort to do certain things," she told PhilSTAR L!fe during the launch of Pond's latest products on Monday.
"Of course, I would lie if I say that I'm not stressed or I don't have to balance my life. But, if you really want something done, you have to schedule stuff. I'm just very disciplined when it comes to my schedule and what I need to do and what I love to do," she continued.
Heart admitted that there was a time when she "lost her bounce" and "didn't know what to do." Feeling lost, she rediscovered her spark at Fashion Week, igniting her international career.
She said: "I feel like that's where the magic happens—when you don't think so much and you just do what you love and then something will happen. So I think I want to maintain that, not so much think of what I'll get in return."
Asked if she had any advice for young individuals who are thinking of trying out different things at the same time, she said: "Do it all! Discover everything."
She continued, "Don't be so hard on yourself. It's normal to make mistakes. I mean, that's what we try to, you know, kind of promote in a way that perfection is not in this world. I've [made] some mistakes that I don't want to have but I'm not ashamed of because it made me who I am. But that's part of life—you grow, you become a better person, and then it humbles you, and then that's when the great things happen."
Heart and husband Chiz Escudero are set to renew their vows in an intimate gathering at their original wedding location, Balesin Island.
Talking more about why they chose to renew in their ninth year, she said, "I never really denied, but you know, people go through stuff. And I never really spoke about it, but it was a major major one. So I feel like we're really, as a married couple, it's really meaningful for us to have this moment. And there are just so many other things happening and coming. So, this is the perfect time for us," Heart said.
