Kim Seonho’s ex-girlfriend will take legal action against death threats, revealing also that the embattled actor has apologized for his actions after her controversial exposé.

Seonho was embroiled in a scandal after he was tagged in an anonymous viral story where his reported ex-girlfriend, who introduced herself as “A,” revealed that she was allegedly forced into having an abortion. On Oct. 20, the actor apologized for hurting his ex-girlfriend due to his “carelessness and considerate actions.”

In a statement translated by Soompi, “A’s” lawyers announced that she will take legal action against personal attacks, death threats, and “falsehoods about her personal life.”

“At the moment, personal information about “A” is being recklessly released through certain media outlets, social media, and online communities; and she is facing endless attacks and even death threats based on falsehoods about her identity and personal life,” the statement read.

“A’s” lawyers shared that Seonho’s ex-girlfriend is “suffering from severe psychological stress” and is struggling to “even go about her everyday life.” They also announced “plans to take all possible legal measures in response to malicious reports, posts, or comments related to ‘A.’”

“We respectfully request that you refrain from over-the-top speculation and defamation of character, and we also ask that (reporters) refrain from investigating ‘A’ as an individual or requesting interviews,” the statement read.

In a separate statement, Seonho’s ex-girlfriend revealed that she received an apology from the actor, which she accepted.

“I’m sorry for having unintentionally hurt many people with my post. There was a time when that person and I were both genuinely in love, so I feel bad seeing him collapse in an instant due to what I wrote, part of which was very strong,” she said.

“I have received an apology, and I think there were some parts that were a misunderstanding,” Seonho’s ex-girlfriend continued, expressing her sentiments about the actor’s career. “I don’t want things that are different from the truth to be spread, and I don’t want our story to be exaggerated anymore.”

“My heart is heavy because I feel that I have caused a lot of damage to many people through this incident. I will take down this post soon,” she added.

Following the controversy, it was confirmed that Seonho will be leaving the Korean variety show 2 Days & 1 Night and his upcoming films 2 O’Clock Date and Sad Tropics

The actor gained domestic and international recognition for his role as Han Jipyeong in Start-Up and Hong Dusik in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.
