MOMOLAND's Nancy to appear in 'Running Man Philippines'

Nancy McDonie will appear in the second season of Running Man Philippinesmarking one of her first TV appearances as a Sparkle artist.

In an episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Monday, April 1, the "King of Talk" announced one of the former MOMOLAND member's first projects as part of GMA's talent agency.

"Isa sa mga unang appearance niya bilang Kapuso ay sa second season ng Running Man Philippines na magsisimula ngayong May 11 at 12," he said, adding that Nancy will be among the "superstar Korean guests" that will take part in the TV offering.

Running Man Philippines is based on the Korean reality series of the same name, featuring TV host Yoo Jae-suk, Haha, Jee Seok-jin, Kim Jong-kook, actress and TV personality Song Ji-hyo, and Yang Se-chan.

The first season premiered in September last year with Mikael Daez, Glaiza de Castro, Ruru Madrid, Buboy Villar, Kokoy de Santos, Angel Guardian, and Lexi Gonzales as part of the adaptation's cast. Its renewal for another season was confirmed early this year.

Details in line with the second installment's cast and premiere date have yet to be revealed.

According to a report by GMA Integrated News, the K-pop idol is coming to the Philippines to fulfill some of her commitments as a Sparkle talent in May.

Nancy was announced as part of Sparkle's roster of talents on Monday, April 1.

The Korean-American star is the second K-pop artist that joined the talent agency, after Filipino-blooded Chantal Videla of Lapillus.

She visited the country last year to perform with actor-singer Lee Seung Gi in Bonifacio Global City to celebrate the anniversary of the local branch of a Korean restaurant.

MOMOLAND debuted in 2016 and disbanded in 2023. It’s known for its hits Bboom Bboom, Baam, Banana Chacha, I’m So Hot, and Thumbs Up.
