The Bat and the Cat team up in new trailer for ‘The Batman’
The Batman has a brand new action-packed trailer.
Warner Bros. dropped a new trailer titled The Bat and The Cat for the upcoming DC film on Tuesday (Dec. 28) ahead of its theatrical release on March 4, 2022.
The two-and-a-half-minute long trailer focuses on the growing relationship between Batman/Bruce Wayne played by Robert Pattinson and Catwoman/Selina Kyle played by Zoë Kravitz. It also shows glimpses of supervillain The Riddler, played by Paul Dano.

The film's cast includes Andy Serkis as Bruce Wayne's loyal butler Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as GCPD's James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson, and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin.
"Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City," reads the official synopsis of the movie. "With only a few trusted allies — Alfred Pennyworth, Lt. James Gordon — amongst the city's corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens.
"When a killer targets Gotham's elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World's Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman, Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin, Carmine Falcone, and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler. As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator's plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.
The movie is directed by Matt Reeves, who also penned the screenplay with Peter Craighe.
The retelling of the Dark Knight which was originally teased during the DC Fandome event in 2020 and was originally scheduled to hit theaters in June 2021, was pushed further back due to filming delays caused by the pandemic.
