Dominic Roque tells public to stop bashing Bea Alonzo amid split rumors: 'Bea's a beautiful person inside [and] out'
Dominic Roque appealed to the public to stop bashing Bea Alonzo amid rumors that they have called it quits.
On Thursday, Feb. 8, the actor reposted one of his reels featuring Bea on his Facebook page and called her a "beautiful person inside [and] out."
"No hate/bashing/negative things please," he wrote in the caption, adding a praying emoji.
His post comes a few days after "King of Talk" Boy Abunda confirmed that he and Bea have called it quits. "Ako’y nalungkot talaga dahil madalas kapag nagkikita kami ni Bea ay nagkakakwentuhan kami tungkol sa buhay, tungkol sa kanila, their marriage plans, etcetera. So, I was shocked," he said on his talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.
The breakup speculations started last month when eagle-eyed social media users noticed that Bea hasn't been wearing her engagement ring in her recent sightings.
The rumors were further fueled after Bea's road manager Cristina Ferrer posted a screenshot of the definition of a "manipulative sad boi" without mentioning anyone on Threads. The post read: "Any guy who'll try to convince someone that they're the victim of the situation. They'll make you believe that you're in the wrong and that you're the one who should be feeling guilty."
It was reposted on the social media platform by Bea's makeup artist Cristine Duque, who stressed that guys like such "should be stopped."
Dominic's brother also had a cryptic post amid the issue, sharing a photo of a sheep in a wolf's body in his Instagram stories. A wolf in sheep's clothing means "a person or thing that appears friendly or harmless but is really hostile."
The next day, however, he clarified that it "wasn't about Ate Bea or anyone close to her" but was "work-related."
"I didn't think that it would be taken out of context because I usually post random stuff and no one bats an eye," he wrote in an IG story. "I hope this explains it. And this should be the last post I'll do about their issue."
Bea and Dominic have yet to address the rumors about their relationship.
They first sparked dating speculations in 2019. After a period of being spotted together in similar locations, the GMA-7 star confirmed their romance in August 2021, saying it “just came out naturally.” They got engaged in July last year.
Bea previously said that they were planning to tie the knot in 2024.
